This was a small house, built in 1920, and lived in by the original family up until recently. Behind this building you can see where the original “beach” trolley rail tracks were and the remains of its’ bridge that crossed Bradley Creek. Wilmington Seacoast Railroad and Tidewater Power Co. built the rail in 1889, to connect from downtown Wilmington all the way to Harbor Island on Wrightsville Beach. The trolley was electrically powered, and although the trolley era faded away in 1935, the power transmission lines remain.
