We are seeking a diligent Staff Accountant to join our accounting department. As a Staff Accountant, the responsibilities will include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budgets and closing processes, conducting internal audits, and keeping track of accounts payable documentation.This person will also collaborate with the Controller as needed and respond to information requests by management and for auditing purposes.
To be successful as a Staff Accountant, you should be analytical and have the ability to accurately maintain a general ledger while ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications;
β Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
β 2+ years of accounting experience.
β Proficiency in Word, Excel, and QuickBooks required.
β Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
β Working knowledge of GAAP.
β Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
β Good problem-solving and time management skills.
β Highly organized and detail-oriented.
β Ability to bring accountability to work, adhering to processing and reporting deadlines.
β Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
β Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assist with monthly
close processes.
β Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance
projections.
β Maintain documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conduct
internal audits.
β Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
β Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits.
β Ensure compliance with GAAP.
β Assist the Controller and COO as needed.
