The Plumber is responsible for supporting the growth and success of Tongue & Groove, working collaboratively with T&G’s personnel to provide world-class service, maintaining the highest level of services consistent with the goals and aspirations of the unique luxury approach that serves as the hallmark of the Tongue & Groove brand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design plumbing & gas piping systems for high-end residential homes, working collaboratively with the T&G design team.
- Review plumbing selections with the design team and review orders.
- Provide together material lists for pipe, fittings, valves, etc.
- Rough-in plumbing systems in new and renovation projects.
- Trim-Out plumbing systems in new and renovation projects.
- Demonstrate systems to homeowners.
- Maintain systems for homeowners, respond to emergencies – on call.
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
- Light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling, and electrical work as required.
- Prepare bids, budgets, and cost estimates.
- Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used.
Education, Experience, and Required Core Competencies:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- State plumbing license
- 5 years experience as a journeyman plumber
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have own tools
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings
- Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
- Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45k- $55k per year
