RESPONSIBILITIES:

Seeking a Senior Financial Professional for managing and overseeing Tongue & Groove’s financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.

  • Processing accounts payable daily, issuing payments weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, as appropriate, and properly processing and submitting all available rebates/discounts from vendors, sub-contractors, credit cards and other sources available to minimize expense.
  • Processing and managing accounts receivable as appropriate to include creating and issuing client invoices on the 10th and 25th of each month, following up on outstanding payments after 10 days and entering payments upon receipt.
  • Assisting in preparing and distributing:
    1. Monthly financial reports to include outstanding accounts receivable, profit and loss (TY, LY, and Budget comparisons) and balance sheet,
    2. Quarterly & Annual financial reports to include year over year comparisons for the current year and 1 year prior, a final actual to budget comparison and a summary of the prior year Labor Burden Rate by employee.
    3. Monthly meetings with senior management in each portfolio to review results and create a forward plan to continuously improve the company’s profitability.
  • Coordinating and processing all payroll related activities to include:
    1. Setting up new employees based on information provided in the offer packet.
    2. Gathering hourly employees’ time worked via Clock Shark, Monograph, and other services as necessary.
    3. Updating the annual labor burden rates worksheet as appropriate.
  • Completing monthly reconciliations to include bank accounts, credit card and vendor credit statements for Tongue and Groove, preparing and processing principal and interest allocation on outstanding loans.
  • Completing reconciliations for other affiliate companies, identifying appropriate company expense distributions, and preparing and entering journal entries as appropriate.
  • Managing and processing external and affiliated company accounting, to include preparing and distributing invoices on the 1st and 15th of each month, processing accounts receivable and completing bank, credit card and loan reconciliations.
  • Processing and maintaining accurate vendor information in QuickBooks, Co-Construct and Outlook Contacts Shared, setting up new vendors as necessary and ensuring that sub-contractor agreements, questionnaires, W-9’s and Insurance Certificates are on file.
  • Assisting in creating a preliminary budget annual budget utilizing information from the prior and current year and working closely with the owner and Chief Operating Officer to adjust based on plans for the new year.
  • Preparing and paying monthly, quarterly, and annual taxes as appropriate.
  • Tracking Tongue and Groove rental properties and managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, lease collection and annual lease rate increases.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field is required.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial roles.
  • Demonstrate success in driving revenue growth.
  • Strong analytical skills to review financial data and make informed strategic decisions based on financial information.
  • Deep understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards and tax laws relevant to our industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
  • Exceptional strategic planning and execution abilities.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Strong ability to multitask.
  • Strong ability to plan and prioritize.
