DESCRIPTION:

Site Foreman in Property Service Renovations is expected to be hands on and actively involved in the construction project from start to finish.  The Foreman is responsible to schedule, coordinate and actively manage daily construction for assigned projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project Planning: Collaborating with the Director of Property Services and Project Manager to develop renovation plans, considering budget constraints, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Site Supervision: Overseeing day-to-day activities on the construction site to ensure work is progressing according to plans and specifications. Monitor cost control to safeguard profit margin.
  • Team Management: Leading and managing renovation crews, ensuring that workers are appropriately skilled, and tasks are assigned efficiently. Logging personnel onsite and managing timesheets.
  • Resource Allocation: Managing the allocation of materials, equipment, and human resources to ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget.
  • Quality Control: Monitoring the quality of workmanship to ensure that renovations meet established standards, client expectations and comply with building codes and regulations.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensuring that all workers follow safety protocols and guidelines, maintaining a secure and hazard-free work environment.
  • Communication: Serving as a liaison between different stakeholders, including project managers, subcontractors, and clients, to ensure effective communication and understanding of project goals.
  • Problem Solving: Identifying and addressing issues that may arise during renovations, finding practical solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Progress Reporting: Providing regular updates on project progress to Project Manager, including any deviations from the original plan, cost impacts and/or schedule adjustments.
  • Cost Control: Monitoring expenses and working to keep the project within the specified budget.
  • Scheduling: Monitoring production schedules, critical project paths, and trade contractor schedules to maintain project timelines.
  • Permitting and Compliance: Ensuring that all necessary permits are obtained, and that the renovation work complies with local building codes and regulations.
  • Documentation: Keeping detailed records of project activities, including daily reports, material orders, and any changes made during the renovation process.
  • Coordination with Subcontractors: Coordinate their work to ensure it aligns with the overall project timeline and quality standards.
  • Material Coordination:  Receive, inspect and verify all deliverables.
  • Software: work within the specified software’s.
  • Final Inspection: Overseeing the final inspection of the renovated space to ensure that all work meets the required standards and specifications.
