Set along the coast of Figure Eight Island, this renovation reimagined an existing home with a lighter, more contemporary approach to coastal living. The goal was to create spaces that felt open, relaxed, and connected to their surroundings while introducing a distinctly modern architectural language.
Inside, an expansive living area takes full advantage of the home’s ocean views, with soaring ceilings, exposed beams, large expanses of glass, and a bright neutral palette. The renovated kitchen continues that sense of openness with streamlined cabinetry, natural wood accents, stone surfaces, and an oversized island designed to bring everyday living and entertaining together. Eclectic furnishings, artwork, and collected pieces add warmth and personality against the home’s clean architectural backdrop, keeping the interiors from feeling overly formal or expected.
The exterior transformation carries the modern aesthetic throughout the home. Strong horizontal lines, expansive windows, multiple levels of outdoor living, and contemporary materials give the residence a striking presence while maintaining its connection to the coastal landscape.
